  • Andrew W. Moore is the Reader in Systems in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. His interests span networked systems with a focus on a measurement-led, methodology that lends itself to repeatability.

    Firmly committed to an open research agenda, Dr Moore leads the NetFPGA open-source hardware initiative. This effort pioneers open and extensible platforms to underpin research and education efforts.

    Dr Moore has previously significant contributions to machine-learning in network-control, measurement-based management of networks, and the engineering of high-performance network devices. Current interests focus upon the Security, Scalability, Usability, and Reliability of the Internet; particularly those that aid its ongoing transformation it from a developmental technology to a reliable, ubiquitous service.
