Software-isation: The challenges of software quality for ICT intense industries
In an era when communications networks and IT networks are converging, the technology catalyst for the transformation is software. The software-isation of networks and the complexity of IT systems used in various industries emphasises the requirements on dependable, and reliable software. However, the pressures on costs of development and maintenance, and the time to market imperative are ever present and increasing.
This workshop event shall create the opportunity for software oriented research leaders to promote their capabilities to Industry leaders, and Industry to articulate the challenges they encounter in increasingly complex software driven environments. This workshop is the first in a series of events; with a focus on discovery of issues. The subsequent event will develop the issues into propositions that may be addressed by various collaborative research initiatives.
The workshop is aimed at key stakeholders in industry and academia and places are expected to fill quickly.
